Northeast Ohio PC Club (NEOPC) - General Meeting - Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, OH. 6:30 pm Social (pastries and beverages); 7:00 pm club announcements; 7:15 pm main program for the evening will be "Photo Restoration and Retouching" by Mike Volker. Mike has been a professional wedding photographer since he graduated from High School in 1955. He retired from the business in 1998. Since then, Mike has become a digital junkie, owns several cameras, and has learned to use Photoshop through a course he took at Lorain Community College some time ago. He is also versed in the operation of Photoshop Elements. The two programs follow along for 85% of the tasks. As one person put it, Photoshop Elements is 85% of Photoshop for one-tenth of the price. Mike will present a program entitled "Photo Restoration and Retouching". This will involve the use of some old black and white and sepia prints and I will manage to do one color photo. The program will focus on the ease and practicality of using these programs. Lastly, we will visit a website by my teacher and look at her students work. At 8:30 pm there will be a Raffle and Door Prizes. |
